Six reasons clients return to us when they need permanent legal talent that lasts beyond the first year.
Confidential briefs treated as such. We do not advertise sensitive vacancies, and we never approach a candidate without permission.
We do not place locums, contractors, paralegals on day rates or interim cover. Every hire is a long-term appointment, full stop.
Every permanent placement is backed by a written replacement guarantee, so you hire with confidence.
You speak directly with the consultant running your search. No juniors briefed by a partner you never meet.
From London and the Thames Valley to Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh and Glasgow - we know the regions.
We tell you when a brief will not work, when a salary band is unrealistic, and when a candidate is not the right fit. Always.
Methodical, transparent and built around your timeline. From discovery to onboarding, every stage has a purpose.
We meet you, your team and the practice. We capture the brief in detail, including cultural cues that never make a job spec.

Structured check-ins through notice periods and the first six months. Replacement guaranteed if circumstances change.
Aspiriar Legal recruits permanent legal staff for firms and in-house teams in every major UK legal market.
The questions law firms and in-house teams ask us most often.
The full spectrum of legal positions on a permanent basis. That includes equity and salaried partners, senior associates, associates from NQ to 5+ PQE, in-house counsel from commercial counsel through to General Counsel, paralegals, legal executives, costs lawyers, patent and trade mark attorneys, legal secretaries and PAs, and compliance and risk specialists.
No. Aspiriar Legal recruits exclusively for permanent appointments. We do not place locums, day-rate paralegals or interim cover. Every hire we make is intended to be a long-term, permanent member of your team.
Most permanent legal searches run between four and ten weeks from kick-off to accepted offer, depending on seniority and how niche the practice is. Partner-level and confidential searches often take longer because of the discretion required. We give you a realistic timeline at the discovery stage and update you weekly.
We work on either a contingent or retained basis depending on the seniority and confidentiality of the role. Most associate, paralegal and support roles are run on a contingent fee, payable only on a successful start. Partner appointments and confidential in-house searches are typically retained, with a portion of the fee paid in stages tied to milestones. Fees are agreed in writing before we begin.
Yes. Every permanent placement is backed by a written replacement guarantee. If a candidate leaves within the agreed period, we run the search again at no additional fee. Specific terms are confirmed in our engagement letter.
We recruit nationwide. Our work is concentrated in London, the Thames Valley, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Cardiff and Belfast, but we also support firms in Newcastle, Liverpool, Cambridge and across the wider South East and Midlands.
Not at all. We partner with international and Magic Circle firms, national leaders, regional independents, specialist boutiques and in-house teams of every size. Boutique founders hiring their first associate get the same care as a Magic Circle practice rebuilding a team.
Discretion is the foundation of legal search. We never share a CV or name without explicit candidate consent, we never advertise confidential briefs and we use anonymised candidate packs by default. Our consultants are senior, experienced operators who understand what is at stake on both sides of a brief.
