Most permanent legal searches run between four and ten weeks from kick-off to accepted offer, depending on seniority and how niche the practice is. Partner-level and confidential searches often take longer because of the discretion required. We give you a realistic timeline at the discovery stage and update you weekly.
We work on either a contingent or retained basis depending on the seniority and confidentiality of the role. Most associate, paralegal and support roles are run on a contingent fee, payable only on a successful start. Partner appointments and confidential in-house searches are typically retained, with a portion of the fee paid in stages tied to milestones. Fees are agreed in writing before we begin.
Yes. Every permanent placement is backed by a written replacement guarantee. If a candidate leaves within the agreed period, we run the search again at no additional fee. Specific terms are confirmed in our engagement letter.
